BLOGGERS BLOCK

Yep, it finally happened. The dreaded 'bloggers block'.
I could feel it creeping up on me for a while. My 52 Weeks project started losing its way and I was blogging half-heartedly, just for the sake of it.
So I stopped.

They don't say moving house is the most stressful time for no reason.
This week we packed up all our belongings and moved them into storage, ready to move out on Friday.
However, it just wasn't meant to be. So, whilst waiting for a new move-out date, we're eating ready meals and sleeping on the floor.

The Great Interior Design Challenge.

The Great Interior Design Challenge- an elegant combination of Changing Rooms meets Great British Bakeoff, with a bit of British Sewing Bee thrown in for good measure. What could be better?

I don't want to frighten you but the last episode of Changing Rooms aired almost 10 years ago, so a brand new interior programme was well overdue! And this show really delivered- wetting the appetites of aspiring designers (myself included!) and demonstrating that anyone can have a gorgeous home, with a little bit of knowhow.

I found the show such an inspiration and so motivating. I purchased the book straight away and it is wonderful- bursting with beautiful photography, simple projects and nifty tips for styling and decorating your home.
If you see me around, I will most probably have my head buried in this book.

P.s. I also had a little delivery of some new washi tape this week- it didn't take long before it went to good use!

Love List :: February

A. This adorable print by Amy Blackwell
B. This stunning driftwood wall hanger- will be giving this one a go
 C. Donna Wilson's new range, love this little guy!
D. This rug. OMG.
E. DIY Polaroid frames- great valentines pressie

Well, I can't quite believe we are in February already! January seemed to fly past and I'm a little sad to see it go.
But I'm excited for a new month and a new Love List- I'm pretty chuffed with this one.

This week has been one of highs and lows.
Number 7 is now officially on the market, with the first viewing yesterday. It all feels very real now.

We also found our dream house, lost our dream house, then snatched it back again. All in one week.
I'm not getting overly excited just yet- there is still a long way to go. But we are keeping everything crossed for this house.

House hunt.

The hunt for our dream home has officially begun. The first two weekends of the year were spent viewing houses. Six houses to be precise. And I'm pretty sure there will be many more to come!

But, in case you were wondering, that does mean we are saying farewell to our beloved number 7. We've simply outgrown our little flat; it's bursting at the seams with all our belongings.
Mr H bought number 7 back in 2008- only a month before we met each other. We've had some wonderful times here and we will be a little sad to let it go.

I'll keep you updated on how our hunt goes and if that dream house comes along...
