SEASONAL YOGA.

I first started practising yoga a few months ago and I guess I went into it very naively. I just wanted to be more flexible.
I honestly never would've imagined the affect it would have and how much of a part of my life it would become.

BLOGGERS BLOCK

Yep, it finally happened. The dreaded 'bloggers block'.
I could feel it creeping up on me for a while. My 52 Weeks project started losing its way and I was blogging half-heartedly, just for the sake of it.
So I stopped.

V Fest. My first ever festival.
Ok, so we didn't camp so it wasn't a proper festival but it was still an amazing day!

This week, was also my 'Commercial Anniversary'- a whole year working in my job.
Those feet belong to some very special people in my life and, just over a year ago, I didn't even know they existed.
It's crazy to think how much of an impact people can make on your life, in such a short space of time.

32/52 + 1

(Sorry this is a week late- I couldn't show you otherwise I might have ruined the surprise!)

Whilst my amazing sister-in-law worked with orphans in Uganda, we decided to redecorate her bedroom for her.

Before, her room was quite dark- with oiled pine furniture and a deep red carpet that sucked in every bit of light.
But now, with off-white walls and a freshly painted wardrobe, the room is so fresh and airy.
Oh, and of course I had lots of fun doing it!

They don't say moving house is the most stressful time for no reason.
This week we packed up all our belongings and moved them into storage, ready to move out on Friday.
However, it just wasn't meant to be. So, whilst waiting for a new move-out date, we're eating ready meals and sleeping on the floor.

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that myself and six friends were doing our own 'Come Dine With Me'.
Well, Thursday night it was my turn. And the finale. No pressure.

After just returning from a week in the South of France, I thought it would be very apt to have a French theme.
Cue my secret weapon- chilli, pecan and apricot camembert.

27/52

For the past 7 months, myself and six work colleagues have been involved in implementing a new green initiative at work.
And Friday was our official launch of what we had produced.
What better way to celebrate than strawberries and Pimms!
This also coincided with our work summer party.

It's crazy to think that I have been in this job for less than a year but I have met some truly wonderful people and made some lifelong friends.

(Now I know I didnt take this picture so it doesnt count. But I just needed to share it with you!)

26/52

Well here we are. Halfway through the year.
I am really proud of myself for sticking to this project and I have really enjoyed it so far (and I've only cheated a couple of times!)
The first six months of 2014 have been wonderful. Bring on the next.

Wedding Anniversary Weekend

25/52

This week I tried yoga for the first time and absolutely loved it, went on a team outing to a pub quiz and came last, and spent the longest day of the year enjoying cocktails with the girls.

24/52

For the past few weeks, myself and six friends have been doing our own Come Dine With Me.
The concept is simple- to cook a meal for your guests and entertain them for the evening (or get them moderately drunk)
This week we decided to arrive by bicycle. A great idea... until we realised how awful our hire bikes were!

22+1/52

Back to normality this week so not much to report.
But I returned from a blissful week in the Spanish sun rejuvenated, refreshed and relaxed (and with some pretty shocking tan lines!)

A photobooth at a wedding never fails to entertain!
After a week away from Mr H, it was lovely to spend some time with him (and have some fun!)

1.6.14

21/52 (a week late!)

Clerkenwell Design Week.
My favourite showroom by far was Vitra. It was amazing to see where so many pieces of iconic furniture, like the Eames chair, originated.
I am a little obsessed with chairs (yes, sad I know), so this was heaven for me.

20.5.14

20/52

Mr H and I took a trip to Winchcombe, a stunning Cotswold village, to broaden our house search.
Of course, we had to stop for cake first...

11.5.14

Bank holiday bliss with hubby. And we found a little bit of paradise at Buscot Park.

6.5.14

18/52

I hope you all had a lovely bank holiday? I certainly did- I would even go as far to say, it was best weekend of year so far!

On Friday, I said farewell to a close work colleague, a.k.a my work husband, but he's only moving round the corner so I wasn't too distraught!
And on Saturday night, I reverted back to a fourteen year old girl and screamed my little head off at a McBusted concert.
Sunday was a lot more chilled, finished off with a few cocktails with the girls and watching Duke play in Cheltenham.

17/52

Well, I was thoroughly spoilt for our first wedding anniversary- a perfect weekend away in the Peak District. Oh, and these beautiful stacking rings, from my favourite jewellery designer Mustard & Peaches.

Mr H and I have never had a weekend away where either one or both of us hasn't fallen ill. It's become a bit of an unwelcome tradition really.
This time round, it was my turn... But it didn't spoil our fun and we returned home feeling rested, relaxed and full of delicious food.

(I'll post the photos later, as  I haven't felt well enough to sort them out yet. Sob!)

20.4.14

16/52

Today, the 20th of April, is our first wedding anniversary.

It's also Easter Sunday. But this year, Easter has taken a bit of a back seat.
Last week, all four days of it, were spent in anticipation of the long weekend. Mr H and I desperately needed a break.

This photo pretty much sums up our wedding day- full of fun and smiles, sneaking off for a cheeky kiss, oh and a filthy wedding dress to show for it all!

17.4.14

15/52

(Oops late again. But better late than never, I always say!)

Just a regular Friday evening- casually wearing a moustache and an inconveniently large sombrero, filling my face with home-made Mexican food and sipping on margaritas.
I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time.
